The research company Gemius made a detailed analysis of Facebook usage in eleven countries: Saudia Arabia, Belorussia, Denmark, Egypt, Jordan, Poland, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Hungary and United Arab Emirates.
The results are really impressive, as far Hungary and Turkey has the most Facebook users (86%). The second place belongs to Egypt with 82% of Facebook users. In the former USSR countries it is not easy for Facebook to become a leader, as far as VKontakte, Odnoklassniki and MoiMir are still the most favorite social networks. Nevertheless the number of Facebook users is constantly growing in there. In Russia 30%, in Ukraine 28% and in Belorussia 19% of Internet users has the second and the third social presence in Facebook.
In Poland about 75% Internet users visit facebook.com monthly. The most Polish Facebookers, about 80%, are 19-25 years old. Another heavy users group is about 26-35 years old and makes 76% of the whole social network visitors in Poland.
Finally in Belorussia Facebook is not so popular as in its Eastern neighbors. The most active users (75%) are young people in the age of 15- 35 years old, who makes the minority of Western Social Media networks users within the country.
