In February 2013, Mavenhut was chosen as a startup of the year, one of their creation is a new game called Solitaire Arena. Among the founders of the company is the Romanian entrepreneur and well known blogger, Bobby Voicu.
Few days ago, due to the news, coming from tech blog of New York Times or Techcrunch, the world learned another Romanian entrepreneur who lives in US. Anda Gansca is a Standford graduate and the chief executive of Knotch – a brand new social network, which allows users to express opinions on topics with ratings in color to reflect nuanced emotions regarding particular topics.
Knotch (two cents) was born because of the lack of a specific social network for people’s opinions. The color scale is very easy to use and quite fun. The user can select a color ranging from bright red (extremely positive) to dark blue (extremely negative), with nine other shades to express different deviations of a special opinion and feelings scales.
The mobile app for Knotch recently raised $1.5 million in new funding. So, we are waiting for a new version and lots of excited users!
