Yandex team works day by day hard in order to give its users what they really expect from the search engine: the most matching results, detailed information about the products and services, structured data and clear interface. That is why last week Yandex introduced the new feature – product snippets for internet shops, which contain the full information about the listed products.
The provided feature (snippet) can be activated similar to optimization for Google search engine. All you need to do is to integrate the existing code elements (microdata) from Schema.org like Product (for one product) and Offer (special offer) or Product and AggregateOffer (list of several offers) into the code of your website.
The microdata, which provides the users with more information about the product, its price, description and reviews, attract the user’s eye much more, than a usual search result and lead to the increase of Click-Through-Rate and number of potential conversions respectively.
For comparison take a look at these two search results. The first one is without the product snippet, the second one contains the product price and its features.
Yandex product snippets are available in English, Russias, Belorussian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Kazakh and Tatar languages.
